Professor McKelway is the Takeo and Itsuko Atsumi Professor of Japanese Art History at Columbia University and specializes in the history of Japanese painting.
In late sixteenth and early seventeenth century Korea, the Bureau of Publishing (an ad hoc organ that handled government-sponsored publication projects) printed ŏnhae 諺解 of seven Confucian classical texts.

EALC prime majors are required to participate in the Senior Symposium. Seniors present a 3-minute presentation and poster of either the research paper they wrote for their 400-level Capstone course, OR their senior honors thesis.
