T.T.C. Dance Company: Persistence of Memory

Choreographer Ting-Ting Chang conceptualizes a convergence of dance and painting, focusing on the idea of moving sculptures, and reexamining Salvador Dali’s drawers and Sigmund Freud’s unconscious mind. The constant emergence of the open drawers in Dali’s work is the key to understanding his art. The dancers’ movement vocabulary depicts the passing and disappearing of time, and the interaction between the dancers and the drawers signifies the surreal existence of memories and secrets.

T.T.C. Dance, is a Taipei based dance company, was established in 2012 to return to the essence of dance, focusing on the body and re-imagining its possibilities. By collaborating with artists from various fields and experimenting with different concepts, they continue to make positive strides towards a dynamic visual spectacle that is equally entertaining and inspiring.
