Jingyi Wang has been promoted to senior lecturer effective July 1, 2024.
Wang, who has taught at Washington University in St. Louis since 2014, has been instrumental in the continued development of WashU’s Chinese language program, which is known for its excellence in teaching heritage as well as second-language speakers. Wang strives to foster a comprehensive understanding of the language while cultivating a deep appreciation for the rich cultural context it contains. She organizes the "Chinese Table" extracurricular activities that provide students opportunities to build confidence in using their language skills while offering cultural exchange. She also engages students through the Chinese language program's Instagram account.
