Zihan Feng is a PhD student in the Chinese Language and Literature program.
Zihan received her master’s degree in East Asian Studies from Duke University and her bachelor’s degree in Chinese Language and Literature from Peking University. Her research interests include modern Chinese literature, affect theories, migration and mobility, and rural-urban dynamism in the age of global capitalism. Her current research explores the post-industrial malaise and nostalgia in post-socialist China through the lens of mass cultural production and consumption, such as fashion, music, and performance cultures.
